Private lessons are a great way to level up your game. Private lessons are offered by all of our instructors, based on availability. Here are some reasons why we think private lessons are beneficial.
You get an instructor all to yourself
Group classes are great. It brings great energy. You get to train and learn with a lot of different people. You get variety in your partners. The downside to group classes is the instructor has to divide their time and attention to everyone in class. Our group classes have at least once assistant instructor, if not two that help the group with the details. During a private lesson, the focus is all on you.
Get down to details
Private lessons really allow you to dig deep into the details. You can focus on something that you have been struggling with or learn something completely new. You will have ample opportunity to dissect the details and ask a lot of questions. This is the time to fine tune your game. Having a instructor train with you will give them a chance to tweek little details that make a huge difference.
It’s all about you
The instructor is there for you. You get to customize your session. Do you want to drill the whole time? Do you want to roll live? Do you want to learn some fancy moves you saw on YouTube? The sky is the limit.
During group classes, you stick to the curriculum of the week. Your questions are based around what is being taught that week. But during a private lesson, you can ask or learn anything. It’s your chance to go rogue.
If you are getting ready to compete in a tournament or have a fight coming up, private lessons give you a chance to go over your game plan and give you the winning edge.
Getting to roll or hit mitts with your favorite instructor
Besides the undivided attention you receive during your private lesson, you get the chance to train with them. You will learn so much from the one on one time. In Jiu Jitsu classes, the instructors do roll with students but there is only so much time in a class so getting to everyone, every time is not possible. In Kickboxing, you may get some quick hits with your instructor but this private time will be dedicated to actually working with them. That alone is worth it.
On your time
Group classes are scheduled. You may miss your favorite instructor’s class. With a private lesson, you can schedule a time that works for you. You may want a private lesson when you first starting out to build a solid foundation. Or maybe you are getting ready to compete in a tournament or have a fight coming up, private lessons allow you to customize your training camp.
