The best way to check for closures or altered schedules due to inclement weather is via Facebook and Instagram, so please be sure to follow us. We will do our best to post class cancellations on social media at least one hour prior to the start of class, and will reach out to parents and students by email as soon as possible. If you are not currently on our email list, please email us at highaltitudema@gmail.com to be added. We will follow the Cherry Creek School Districts (CCSD) closures. If CCSD is closed, youth classes will be cancelled as well. Please be sure to check their website before heading to the gym.
We have prepared a Snow Crew that will be able to arrive in the event there is a forecasted storm to keep classes running. We will evaluate closures case by case, when there is at least 8” of snow and/or if the city is having difficulty maintaining the roads. In the event bad weather comes up fast we may have to make a decision quickly for the safety of our staff and students.
In any event, please be patient with us as we are doing our best to ensure we are balancing all concerns when these decisions have to be made. If you feel it is unsafe, please stay home. As the season progresses and us Yeti’s regain our confidence in navigating snowstorms, we find we cancel classes less often!
