Melissa Myers returned home from IBJJF No Gi Worlds with a gold medal in her division and bronze in absolute. Robin Solsbery took home silver in his division and bronze in absolute, an amazing job well done by both our competitors!

Now, Robin is set to compete in Colorado’s first professional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu event at National Western Complex on November 20, hosted by Fight To Win.  He faces the number seven ranked teen in his division. Robin has been training for two years and is a three time Colorado State BJJ Champion and six time F2W gold medalist.

Corina Sojo is a blue belt who is also competing in Friday’s event in a teen gi match.  She has been training for four years and has competed all over the country. Corina holds an impressive competition history and is a seven time gold medalist with IBJJF, NABJJF, and F2W.  She holds five silver medals with F2W, Kids Worlds, Super Cup, and IBJJF; along with seven bronze medals from the organizations previously listed including NAGA.  Corina is busy balancing high school, BJJ, and a coaching apprenticeship at HAMA.

High Altitude’s own brown belt, Pat Garland, is taking on Josh Golderger from Colorado Brazilian Jui-Jitsu in a no gi match.  Coach Pat has been training and coaching at HAMA for eight years, winning several gold medals at various tournaments, and has led many students to be world BJJ champions.
